Debian 7 cd's and Debian 3 cd's

I just downloaded all 7 CDs, but I heard the installer only requires 3?
I'm using the rc3 build .

I'm just wondering (before I install it) whether it will promt me to install with 7 or 3 cd's?

If not - how do I install it with all 7 cd's?

that depends on which programs you select to install. Really, with a good internet connection, alls you really need is one, then you can apt-get all the software you want to have. Otherwise, I believe I read somewhere that the more popular programs are on the first CDs, so you should be fine with the first three.

DOH! :-P. I downloaded and burnt them all anways hehe.
I'll select all the programs (even thought I wont be needing half of them) - I have 40 gb .

However after doing that, apt-get dist-upgrade will take forever!

You'll get conflicts with loads of things - different programs will have been designed for different versions of compilers, kernels, etc - so I can bet my last 2p you won't install them all :-P
