Debian CD's


Hey i was thinking about trying debian and i see they have like 6 or 7 cd's. Do you really need all of those. which ones do i actually need to install it. Also if anyone out there has tried gentoo and Debian do you have a favorite?

Hi

You can install a desktop system from the 1st 3 discs then use apt-get to add any extra packages you require.

Personally, I'd sugest the debian testing netinstall CD with the new debian installer
