cron questions

Is that the daemon? Cause I read somewhere that the daemon would be crond.

Also where would I look to see if cron actually ran my script which sets the time against a server with dpkg-reconfigure ntpdate.

Not sure. What did the man page say?

You could have your script write to a log file (or syslog)...

Actually, I don't know cron very well -- maybe it already writes to a log file. Have you poked around in /var/log?

Yeah I checked /var/log there was nothing there but I found out it mailed everything to me so it's working fine That means that /usr/bin/cron is the daemon. Thanks for the helP!
