is a good start. The easiest way to set up an array is to use Webmin (3rd party software, it's free). It allows you to configure/set up an array from your webbrowser. Don't have a link at hand right now, use Google to locate it. If you choose to install from the repository over a stand-alone application (download) you'll have automagic notifications if a new version comes along. I use it for my RAID5 setup on the fileserver, no problem. Note: once added to an array, a disk cannot be partitioned!
