Exclamation CD rom not detected -how to install??

juz tried to install debian (testing) but the installer gave a message dat it cannot detect cd rom device. and have to be mounted manually.

i used ls /dev to find the driver but was vain.

i m using DELL inspiron 6000 with the mave of cd/dvd rom as SAMSUNG.
can any body tell me how to proceed installation.

When did you download that installationdisc? What exactly did you download and from where?

just two days ago iso 1 and iso 2 from the link that is provided on this very site

hv you tried another distro? just to see if it s a debian issue
