broken package "kdelibs4"

I have the package "kdelibs4" broken on my system. I have attempted to reinstall it but it has been giving me problems. The following is what I got when I used apt-get install.

Code:
damondeb:/home/damon# apt-get check.
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  kdelibs4: Depends: kdelibs-data (>= 4:3.3.0) but 4:3.2.3-2 is installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.
damondeb:/home/damon# apt-get -f install kdelibs-data
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
The following packages will be upgraded:
  kdelibs-data
1 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 146 not upgraded.
309 not fully installed or removed.
Need to get 7071kB of archives.

Errors were encountered while processing:
 /var/cache/apt/archives/kdelibs-data_4%3a3.3.1-4_all.deb

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Damon,

I had this error too when I did a Sarge net-install. There is a bug report for this file, and the bug report says that it is solved in version 3.3.x.

What I did do is:

dpkg --force-overwrite -i kdelibs-data_4%3a3.3.1-4_all.deb

It worked fine. Apparently the files which were to be overwritten really are the same.

Please not that this is DANGEROUS and can break your system. You should not use this option unless you are desperate. If it fails, you might have to re-install your system.
