An easy way to remove large program groups?

I accidentally installed KDE (along with X, GNOME, etc.) onto my text server. Whoops. Now, I want to easily remove all of them (and all the programs that depend on them) using apt. I haven't been able to find a way to do this effectively. Anyone have any ideas?

I despise dselect. Try aptitude, it's more recent.

Thanks. The funniest thing was with aptitude, I tried to remove KDE, and guess what, it installed more kde packages! Hooray!

If you don't want anything to do with X Windows, could you run tasksel and remove the entry related to X?

Try deborphan and debfoster.
One of those should meet your needs and some.

I despise those that despise dselect.
