Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

[Beige G3>Floppy Boot]Help! Can't do partition to install!
Not install linux before:
I got to the partition screen, hit enter, asked for drive all I get is hdc I try to type something and can't type anything. go to the console type cfdisk or mac-fdisk can't find it.
What do I do?
I have a Maxtor 80GB just formated into HFS single partition so I can go exclusively with Debian on my dev server.
All I have in the Disk ultility in OS 9 (CD-ROM boot) is AUX, so I didn't think I could use that.
I am competely new to linux first time installing so step by step please.
Aiso how many partitions? I was going to do
Swap: 2GB
/:10GB
/home:62GB (reamaining)
For now it's going to be used for LAMP and AFP (or NFS) so I can view the HD on my MDD G4. I also will run cron to backup my live server and such.
