Won't Boot w/pcmcia Inserted

Since I can't post in the DSL forums, I will ask this question here.

Trying to boot from dsl cd (v.4.2) and system locks when pcmcia card is inserted. Resolution was to bypass pcmcia on boot with cheat code.

However, this is my wireless adapter and to have a successful experience with dsl the wireless card is a must.

System is: Toshiba Satellite 2545xcdt laptop w/AMD-K6 cpu, 192 MB ram, 30 GB hd.

Have searched this board but found no resolve to issue.

Anyone have a similar experience and was able to find a solution?

Changed pcmcia wireless cards and now have an automatic recognition of card and, hence, a wireless connection.

Am now using a d-link dwl-g680 card (atheros chip). This is in place of a 2wire card. Also tried a netgear wg511 v2 card to no avail.
