O/S Crashing

We have a virtualized instance of Linux that keeps crashing.

Each time the following is spit out:

[kern.warning] kernel: CPU#0: STREAMS scheduler looping: flags = 0x00000000 runs = 165
[kern.warning] kernel: CPU#0: STREAMS scheduler looping: flags = 0x00000000 runs = 96
[kern.warning] kernel: CPU#0: STREAMS scheduler looping: flags = 0x00000000 runs = 163

The kernel version is:

Linux 2.6.32-431.29.2.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Does anybody have an idea on what would cause this?

More information would be helpful. For example:

What virtualizer are you using?

What distro/version are you running?

Under what circumstances does the crash happen (idle, running one program, running multiple programs, running a particular program, and so on)?

I did a web search on the error message and everything I turned up was well above my head.

Aside: that's a very old kernel. It was a release kernel when I first started using Linux.

Also, you might take a look at this. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for others to help you.
