Installing bluetooth transmitter on CentOS 6

I have an Insignia bluetooth adapter that I'd like to install on my CentOS 6.6 system. When I plug it in /var/log/messages shows that it does see the new device:

Mar 8 11:50:01 nova kernel: usb 2-1.3: new full speed USB device number 5 using ehci_hcd
Mar 8 11:50:02 nova kernel: usb 2-1.3: New USB device found, idVendor=19ff, idProduct=0239
Mar 8 11:50:02 nova kernel: usb 2-1.3: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
Mar 8 11:50:02 nova kernel: usb 2-1.3: Product: BCM20702A0
Mar 8 11:50:02 nova kernel: usb 2-1.3: Manufacturer: Broadcom Corp
Mar 8 11:50:02 nova kernel: usb 2-1.3: SerialNumber: 98588A045CD2
Mar 8 11:50:02 nova kernel: usb 2-1.3: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

but the Bluetooth preferences dialog says no Bluetooth adapters are present. Are there specific drivers I need to install to get this device to work under CentOS? I currently have both bluez and gnome-bluetooth installed. My intent is to get a set of bluetooth headphones I have to work on my CentOS box.

Indeed it did. It did not mention that a "modprob btusb" is needed first though but it pointed me in the right direction. In the end, I ran two commands:

# modprobe btusb
# echo "19ff 0239" >> /sys/bus/usb/drivers/btusb/new_id

Unfortunately, although my system is now aware of this Bluetooth adapter and I can pair my headset to it, when I select the headset as my output device, my sound locks up completely. I tried playing a YouTube video while listening to it via my monitor's speakers and then switching output to my headset. The video locked up immediately and I could not hear anything in the headset. As soon as I set my output device back to the other speakers, the video resumed and I could hear audio from the speakers. So it appears my headset may not be compatible with this adapter. The headset works fine on my Android phone.
