Update QGIS from repository

I tried to add the QGIS 3.4.x ltr to my sources, but apparently, the 2.8 version is already in the repository and it doesn't recognize the newer version, can you guys update that?

You are going to have to explain in more detail what you are trying to do. Did you add a ppa?

It looks like there's no ppa, so he probably tried to add that to his source file directly...

cainakira, usually apt automatically installs the latest one from any source, unless you specify otherwise. Did you sudo apt update before you tried to install it? If so, maybe post a copy of your apt sources list that you modified, if that's what you did, perhaps syntax error?

It looks like to me you should have added something like:

deb https://qgis.org/ubuntu-ltr/ bionic main
deb-src https://qgis.org/ubuntu-ltr/ bionic main

and may have to run
Code:
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-key 51F523511C7028C3

Thank you

English is not my main language and I don't know much about Linux, even though I'm using Bodhi for 8 years, so it was a bit hard to explain my problem, but enigma9o7 go it. So thank you so much!

The line that saved me was the last part:
Code:
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-key 51F523511C7028C3
