How to run AppImages?

ClipGrab is also available as an AppImage. How do I run it on Bodhi Linux 5.1 64-bit, pls?
Is it possible to start an AppImage by double-click?

You should be able to double-click to start an AppImage. However you might need to set the execute bit first, either through the file properties or with
Code:
cd /to/folder
chmod +x ./*.AppImage
Hope this helps

I don't know, if this can help, yet, because there's another problem to be fixed first.
Trying to get the AppImage to run, I first selected PCmanFM file manager inside the settings of the AppImage properties.
How can I remove this entry from the Open with... field, in order to make that field empty again?

Usually deleting an app's cache/config from your home folder. This link might help https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PCManFM

After deleting the cache, the unwanted entry is gone, but besides that, nothing changed.
The AppImage still doesn't run. What else might be the reason for this?

Does the AppImage show any errors if you run it from the terminal?

Did you do the chmod someone suggested earlier? This is necessary with appimages (and shell scripts) to change the file's mode to executable before it'll run.

From your home directory (i.e. /home/bodhi, the folder that opens when you open terminal) , assuming it's in Downloads folder and named ClipGrab-3.6.9-x86_64.AppImage
Code:
$ chmod +x Downloads/ClipGrab-3.6.9-x86_64.AppImage
$ Downloads/ClipGrab-3.6.9-x86_64.AppImage

Once you've got it running, right click on it in taskbar and 'edit icon' to create a menu entry, if you want.
