Focus problems on 64-bit version of aMSN

Posted 08-01-2008 at 01:06 PM by Vermind

aMSN, the most full-featured msn clone for Linux, runs well on my 32-bit Ubuntu. But on the 64-bit one, every log message, such as "contact has joined conversation", and a new message by a contact causes aMSN to lose focus. I need then to go out of the conversation window, and come back in order to be able to type. This occurs regardless of my window manager; occurs on both metacity and compiz. Also, if I enable SCIM on my work Ubuntu, 32-bit, the same focus loss happens. When I disable SCIM, it stops happening. Any ideas, readers?
