Debian Xfce live CD dissapointing

Posted 08-06-2008 at 10:27 AM by richag77

I've recently received a Debian xfce live CD and it is the most trimmed down live CD that I have ever seen. In fact it almost has nothing on it(Just a file manager and some utilities and a browser that doesn't open). Download all the apps you want, you say. That would be the way to go if I could find the icon or menu item to click on to do the install. Is this just a way of distributing rather expensive drink coasters or is there some special way that is a guarded secret of how to install this OS?

Knoppix is just the opposite. It puts that much on the CD it just boggles the mind to look at all that is on there.
