Yet another Arch Internet problem...

Hi again LQ,

Sorry to bombard you with newbie Arch questions, but this time, after installing, I cannot for the life of me get any kind of Internet on Arch, I have a Toshiba Satellite u405-s2826 with iwl3945 drivers, and I know I selected Linux-firmware in the installation. I also have iwl3945 in modules of rc.conf. So wireless doesn't work, but neither does Ethernet for some reason!

IIRC, Arch has everything blocked in /etc/hosts.deny -- that might have changed, but can you post that file here anyway?

There is no file /etc/hosts.deny.

Have you acually went through network configuration? I would suggest trying out wicd as network manager. Last week I've tried Arch for the first time and wicd network set up seems to me is the most straight forward. wicd-curses is a seriously good.
