kernel: error 127

Hi,

I'm an economy student so I like using Linux in my spare time but I'm not a super-geek or something else.

I like Arch Linux because it's fast, stable and i686optimised.

I'm used to download a kernel, configure and compile it for fitting my hardware as better as possible but with Arch when it is time to digit: "make install" something is wrong and the procedure isn't able to install the kernel, in fact I don't find it in the /boot directory.

Is there anybody that can help me, please?

I don't remember exactely the output but there were:

- error 127 and
- error 2

I hope in you help and I'll be grateful :-)

sincerely

deadlinx

hi there,
Code:
make install
while compiling kernel is highly unrecommended. take a look here. for custom kernel.
