Install standalone .pkg.tar.gz file in Pacman

I just recently converted a .pkg.tar.gz file using the Alien package converter in my Ubuntu drive and copied it to an external hard drive with Arch on it.

Here's the problem: man pacman doesn't show any options for installing standalone packages. How do I do it?

Right now, the only way I can use Arch is by chrooting into it from Ubuntu. Other than that, trying to boot into Arch is a real pain - see this thread for details.
