[SOLVED] Removing the floppy disk drive

I want to disable the floppy disk drive and eliminate the icon. How ca n I do that?

Unfortunately, there is no way to disable the floppy in the BIOS.
In Unbuntu, I solved this prob with editing the blacklist, but in Antix there isn t any blacklist to edit.
Editing the fstab with deleting the divice there was without any result.

Create a file in /etc/modprobe.d/ called blacklist-floppy.conf containing this line.

blacklist floppy

Then in a terminal

sudo rmmod floppy
sudo update-initramfs -u -k all -t
