I ran a few tests over the weekend by first downloading the image, then writing the image to a USB stick and booting from it.
From my perspective, though this is only the first external test version, I found it useful enough at least for routine, Web-based work, and after a couple of days, I actually installed this test release over the previous stable MX-15 release.
MX-15 was very stable for me, and though this was potentially risky, I have images and can replace this if I do run into issues and I also have other alternatives. But so far, I'm not sorry at all about my decision; it actually worked well last evening.
While I don't necessarily recommend that everyone install this image over their previous stable systems, I would encourage and recommend those who have sufficient resources, time, and configurations to try this out, test it out, report issues, and help to make this an even better system when it is released.
I'm very pleased with the initial build and I do not anticipate that there will be too many issues with the final version of this system.
