Video Authoring Application of the Year

Based on feedback, this category has made a return after a multi-year hiatus.

I only know from what I use, but these look like programs that are related to what I do with Kino, is it some other category?
I've thought about trying Kdenlive, but since I am familiar with Kino I always chicken out and go back to it!

Kino has not been actively maintained since 2009. We encourage you to try other Linux video editors such as Shotcut, Kdenlive, Flowblade, OpenShot, PiTiVi, LiVES, and LightWorks.

Man, that sucks! I had no idea, I just use the package manager on whatever I'm running and install from there!
I wondered why some of them didn't show it, I guess now I know.

Well, I guess it's time I pulled the trigger on Kdenlive!
Thanks Jeremy!

Openshot for me, too. It's the only one I've tried that does what I need, and doesn't crash all the time.
