Video capture card?

Anyone here run a video capure card in unix?
I'd like to have one that can capture a Full D1 MPEG2. Does not matter what BSD Free Open or what ever as I am going to build the system around the card. So if you run Unix and a capture card please list it here and wether or not it works well or not.
Please list the card buy name or model # so I can find one to look at.

Also, if you run software you like to view, capture, edit or encode with please list that also.
