I am configuring fonts for PC-BSD for a forthcoming version of PC-BSD.

I have had problems with linux apps under PC-BSD. My guess is that the bytecode interpreter is not enabled by default with linux_base-8, although I'd like to know if this is what is causing problem. I am posting screenshots to show you how it looks like. I am testing on a FreeBSD box, as both systems are similars. I am using the linux_base-8, is this the best Linux Compat for fonts?

Here's Linux Opera: some fonts are anti-aliased , some aren't, this is due to a custom config file that defines rules for fonts. Problem is: When the font isn't anti-aliased, it should look good because I'm setting the font to be hinted, but there is no hinting, so if the font looks ugly:

Now, here's regular Firefox: You'll see that it discards my whole custom file .fonts.conf for fonts. As a result, all fonts are anti-aliased, so text is unreadable at small sizes on certain sites. The fonts should look like on Windows, or like the Terminal (Behind Firefox on the screenshot). Also, the radio button is all jagged, and I haven't been able to found out why, because all other fonts of the browser are anti-aliased. Do you know why Firefox is not applying the fonts rules that all other applications are?
