I was wondering if any of the bsd can record to mpeg2 dvd format for use with DVD-RW/DVD+RW drives?

also can any of them handle iomagic capture cards will they work in bsd and how good do they work compared to linux or windows works the best for me so far with capturing vcr tapes then using ati dvd recorder with the multimedia center to record mpeg 4 avi format then convert it into mpeg2 format for use with burning in nero 6 to a dvd 4GB size type disk but linux is lacking in this area , is bsd too lacking in mpeg2 and mpeg 4 capturing area?

also how well does bsd handle ati readon 9700 pro cards which is best for use with a ati 3D card , how well will doom3 work with bsd too? and which one to use for this?

I have yet to download a bsd system , question is which one to choose freebsd or netbsd ? I don't think openbsd is really what good if the only thing it gots going for it is better network support , that importent just not too importent for me, I am more looking into games playable and mpeg2 or mpeg 4 capturing then network stuff, also

in bsd versions do all or any support dualbooting like say windows me, or windows xp or linux? dual booting windows xp sp2 is more importent too be right now, always can reinstall it if not
