i am an absolute newbie, so i am asking these question and i am trying to run my ragnarok client in vector linux. i cannot affod the commercial released of wineX/Cedega, i am asking for your help on how to manualy compile the CVS tree of wineX/Cedega in vector? thanks to your responses and i appreciate all your comments.

Well, the compilation is fairly standard. Just get the CVS copy (do a search for "cedega, cvs" to find the address, if you haven't already). Once you have it downloaded, unpack it and follow the normal compile process:
./configure
make depend && make
make install

You might want to use ./configure --help to see if there is anything extra you want to enable.
Hopefully that points you in the right direction. The compilation should be relatively painless on a normal Vector system, I think the key to Cedega is the after install setup.
