Hi there.
I'm trying to install xubuntu in the second drive of my pc (first one is for windows).
After having booted from CD I start the guided installation process, and then it starts installing but it seems is unable to find the file system and installation process hangs when is at 15%.
Do you have an idea what should I do with that?
Thanks
What partitioning options did you select?---ie did you have the installer create the partitions, do it manually, or maybe setup the partitions before running the installer?
I'm running a livecd, and I made the installer partition the drives.
And format them also? What exactly are (were) the error messages?
From the live CD, open a terminal an do "fdisk -l". Post the results here. Also see if you can determine the filesystem type by mounting a partition and then using df -T.
Thanks for help.
I'm going to do that later on, now I'm going away for few days, when I'm back I will try that and post the output I get.
When you have problems with the Live CD, almost always using the Alternate Install CD(Text based), will fix it. Whatever mirror you downloaded from, should have the "alternate install iso" as one of the files. I've had so many issues with Ubuntu Live CD's, I only use the Alternate CD's now.
