have just compiled dillo from source and it works fine now ...

before that i tried some dillo deb files from some private??/debian sites ... but still the same problems ...

although my dillo now works ok but if anybody has any ideas/guesses what/where i had messed-up with my system previously , let me know ... afraid that this problem might affect other applications later on ...
