Unhappy V3 Razor bluetooth + Ubuntu 9.04 (Juanty) = Will not work --HELP-

After I open terminal, I type: hcitool dev to make sure my bluetooth dongle is being seen, and it is; however, when I try to find my V3 Razor phone by typing in: hcitool scan - I get Connection timeout error and never finds it. Of course Motorola tells me that this phone is not supported in Linux; Does anybody know how to make this work? Many thanks to anyone who can assist me.

You get a connection timeout on scan, not when trying to pair? That is kind of strange.

Do you get any BlueZ-related errors in the system logs? It sounds like your problem is in BlueZ, the hardware, or the hardware driver. You aren't even getting to the point where you connect to the Razr, so the phone hasn't even come into the equation yet.

Yea it is kinda weird, Ubuntu sees my bluetooth dongle but will NOT see my phone. The reason I know it sees my dongle is because when I type: hcitool dev it recognizes my MAC address it. Where is the log file to Bluez? Thanks for your response.
