unmet dependencies linux-headers(disk full error on ubuntu 12.04)

when i try to update my system error occurs as sytem package is broken.
when i run autoremove following error occurs

ankit@ankit-Inspiron-1012:~$ sudo apt-get autoremove
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
linux-headers-generic : Depends: linux-headers-3.2.0-30-generic but it is not installed
linux-headers-generic-pae : Depends: linux-headers-3.2.0-30-generic-pae but it is not installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.

on running the command with -f

the same error occurs with the message as disk full.

on running df command

ankit@ankit-Inspiron-1012:~$ df
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda7 9842208 8193952 1148288 88% /
udev 1015572 4 1015568 1% /dev
tmpfs 410296 920 409376 1% /run
none 5120 4 5116 1% /run/lock
none 1025732 584 1025148 1% /run/shm
/dev/sda8 82058952 61383236 16507268 79% /home
ankit@ankit-Inspiron-1012:~$

The easiest thing you can do for yourself is back up everything you need to back up, download a new is and install 12.10 as a clean install. I have never found upgrading as simple or as clean as Ubuntu would like to suggest it is.

This is the best solution you will find.

It is probably very possible to correct your problem with out doing that but it will take longer than just doing a clean install.

The very fact that you are having a problem indicates that 12.04 is not as stable as it should be at this point and 12.10 is not either. With the low number of testers Ubuntu has right now this is no big surprise.

A clean install should work.
