Unable to load ubuntu...using wubi...loopback...etc in thread

This problem has arrived again.......I tried the same solution but didn't work out...the problem is described below.

I use Ubuntu 9.10 .

I did this in Ubuntu 9.10 live CD.

The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2
filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2
filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock
is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock:
e2fsck -b 8193 <device>

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ "
> ^C
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$

So just to get a better understanding, you are attempting to install via Windows with Wubi. Is there any reason why you would not just modify your existing partition and install straight up via iso?

I understand pursuing the problem in hope of solving, but it seems you may be causing yourself un-neccesary heartache...

Another option to install Ubuntu inside Windows is to use Virtual Box:

However, if you want to use linux, I would also recommend doing a proper install of Ubuntu to it's own dedicated partition. You can dual boot Ubuntu and Windows. I do. See this detailed site for dual booting:
