unable to load ubuntu
I have WinXP pro on my computer and I want to load ubuntu. When I try
I get the message: /bin/sh: can't access tty: job contro turned off
(initramfs) I don't have a /bin/sh folder because nothing is loaded. I have gone through all the bios and didn't see anything labelled tty or job control. I entered help and got all the basic commands but I don't know which, if any, solve this problem. Would someone please help me get this problem solved. Thank you in advance.
I have tried to load 7.04, 7.10, and 8.04. I have a 7.04 that I loaded on another computer but can't get it on this one because of the above error. I have downloaded 8.04, bought it also from a vendor, and downloaded 7.10 from the internet.
