Hi all,

I have tried several times to install Ubuntu inside Oracle VM VirtualBox, but unfortunately it freezes exactly on the same moment.
At first everything works ok, but when it comes to; "Checking for packages to Install" it freezes completely.

I tried to enclose the printscreens of the situation but I cannot find the way to do this? Hope anyone can help me out.

I don't really know much/barely anything about VM/virtual box, but have you tried/tested with some other distro, perhaps some lightweight one such as slitaz? Or perhaps even some "advanced"/"expert" mode install that would be more verbose.

My suspicions (that may not worth anything really) are that either the ubuntu distro may be a bit heavier to use as a VM on your hardware, or perhaps that when you install it as a VM you may need some special parameters of some sort to make the install "know" it's a VM and not do anything incompatible with that (I'd suspect specially that the VM's internet connection could be somewhat troublesome instead of "just working").

But again, I don't know anything about it, I just think these guesses may worth a try/further investigation while you don't have a better answer.

Hi, Thank you for your respons. Unfortunately I do not know how to change the mode or anything else. I tried to follow thr procedure of an installation manual for Tor. With TrueCrypt, VirtualBox, Firewall and Ubuntu. Is there anyone who knows the procedure of this?
