Exclamation Trying to upgrade to latest alpha from 7.04

Hello,

I ran the following commands to upgrade to the latest alpha:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
gksudo "update-manager -c -d"

After the last command I get this message:

warning: could not initiate dbus
current dist not found in meta-release file

The update manager opens but nothing happens.

Thanks for your help.

I kept searching through Google last night with different terms. On one search result, I was sent to a bugtracker site that listed the issue I'm experiencing. Apparently, I'm not the only one. Still looking for the site and will update this post with the link.

I could not find the official bug page, but went to freenode's #ubuntu+1 channel and was given the fix.

Run this command:

sudo touch -t 200701010000 /var/lib/update-manager/meta-release

Then:

sudo update-manager -d

The upgrade option finally showed up and was able to upgrade to tribe5.

First off, Screens and Graphics roooocks!
