problems installing ubuntu-6.06

thanks that eastubuntu thing is great, but i think so packages are broken because i ran the easy ubuntu code and it opened the little window- i picked a bunch of stuff (including the universe and multiverse) and i got an error saying "Could Not Apply Changes. Fix Broken Packages First." so now im pretty sure what ever didnt download before- still hasnt been. I read another post saying that there were problems with the server today or something. so maybe tomorrow it will work.

yay! i think only the flash plugin thing didnt apply, but thats okay. You made it possible for me to get mythtv!! I couldnt get it to work til using easyUbuntu!! Thanks to muck Pheonix!!

You are welcome!

. Download flash from www.adobe.com manually, its quite easy to install. For broken packages try this:

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade --fix-missing

Also you can do this in Synaptic, in edit menu -> fix broken packages, and if there will ones, then it will mark them, and you can do Apply.

thanks! I guess there arent any broken packages afterall.

and i got adobe working, and everything is going good with that. so thanks again.

but now i have a new problem- its about mythtv and i started its own thread here:

if anyone knows about mythtv running in ubuntu please take a look if you can.
