Need help accessing a wireless connection from my laptop.

I'm using feisty, and my computer's an HP Pavilion ze2000. It connects by pressing a button (on Windows). However, on Linux that button appears to not be recognized, as it doesn't "turn on" by pressing it. Any help?

You would need to install your drivers for your wireless card.
Refer here
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-card.-602289/
on how to figure out what drivers you have.

The internet connection is the one from campus. Just went over to the syst. adm.'s to see if knew what could be going on, and he confirmed that it's that button function. I don't know exactly which components in the hardware info section are the ones involved in it.

Well, your system admin must be a windows expert and not a linux one!

This is what you are looking for.
So you have the Broadcom chipset. You would now need to install the drivers for this.

Go to http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Dr...reinstallation
and search the forums with b43 or bcm43xx on detailed installation instructions
