K-menu does not automatically update?
I am using Kubuntu 6.06 currently and whenever I install a program it does not show up in the K-menu automatically. I realize I could edit the menu myself, but that would require a lot more work on my part. I'm a converting windows to linux user and right now this problem is really bothersome. Any one know how to make the K-Menu automatically update when a program is installed?

Everyone false alarm. Apparantly I am just extremely impatient. All I had to do was restart my computer and everything showed up. Still an inconvenience but beats out manually typing them in.
Still my question remains of why it does not update immediately after the installation?
Distribution: Ubuntu 11.04, Mint 11.11, Xubuntu 11.11

In my experience some things update automatically and some don't. The ones that don't only require that you log out and back in, you should not need to do an actual reboot (in my experience). But yes, even that is a bit of a pain but the trade off is still will worth it
