Thank Wim.
So, after boot, if I get graphical screen instead of line mode screen that confirms that Xserver is working on my machine? That's great.
Now, next step is to start an Xclient on another machine but display the output on the machine where my Xserver is running now. How to do this? For example I want to execute a simple Xclient like Xclock on
another PC & display output on this PC where I installed Xbuntu. So what are the steps to be followed on Xserver & Xclient? On Xclient I know I must set DISPLAY variable (& export) to point to Xserver (ie its IP address) & launch the Xclient. But prior to this what needs to be done on Xserver to allow a Xclient to display on its Display device
(some sort of authorization)? On some Xservers there used to be some files to be modified (eg /etc/hosts.allow) etc. What are the steps for Xbuntu Xserver ?
Thanking you. Best regards, RAKESH
