Help! I can't get ndiswrapper to work

My laptop and Ubuntu play together very well (that's what I am using now). However the desktop PC is not playing nice with Ubuntu.

I am trying to install netgear WG311v3 wireless 88w8335 "libertas" 802.11b/g PCI

I followed the instructions at http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/marvell...cicard-driver/.

when I try:
Code:
ndiswrapper -i WG311v3.INF
I get
Code:
 driver wg311v3 is already installed
when try
Code:
ndiswrapper -l
I get
Code:
wg311v3 : invalid driver
That's where I get lost. I would like to have Ubuntu running on both (laptop and desktop) machines. I have used ndiswrapper with same adapter before with another distro with no problems. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Did you put WG311v3XP.sys and WG311v3.INF in an empty directory before running
Code:
ndiswrapper -i WG311v3.INF
in this directory?

Problem solved

Everything is working as it should now. I learned a lot,but this document helped the most: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...er/Ndiswrapper this gives easy to understand info, with options to do it without a net connection. Eeverything needed, except for the Netgear driver files, is on the Ubuntu LiveCD.

Using the ndisgtk gui was super easy to get rid of the problem and reinstall driver again, which worked.
