ndiswrapper just won't work

[brian@localhost ~]$ /usr/sbin/ndiswrapper -l
Installed drivers:bcmw15 invalid driver!
[brian@localhost ~]$

But I checked and my driver is listed amongst the drivers that are known to work, I downloaded it again using the link that was given in the list just to make sure, but it won't work. Beyond this I have no idea of what to do. I know practically nothing when it comes to the command line so please keep things simple.

I used ndiswrapper for the first time recently and got the same/similar error if I recall. I hadn't copied the .sys file to the Linux partition, only the *.inf file. Mind you, the instructions I was reading were wrong :-)

Well I unzipped the .exe driver to a folder on the fat32 drive that I use to share between linux and M$ and all of the necassary files are there, so I think. where would I need to copy this file if its not.
