Hey all. Hope you doing good,
Now I have this issue on Ubuntu 10.04. Whenever i close the file browser(am running gnome), it reopens and throws a pop up saying "Cant find /media/A9AE-2182 Please check the spelling and try again."

Now, under /etc/fstab, there is no such device at all. Am wondering, how can i stop this? I click on Close all windows and then shortly it sort of auto-opens and opens 2 file browsers.

Maybe this is related to another issue i have, whenever i shutdown the machine, when i boot it up, on the splash screen it says unable to mount media, press M for manual repair or S to proceed. When i proceed, gnome starts off with no window manager, the windows are without borders and am forced to login as guest and run compiz --replace.

Anyone with an idea on how to resolve this, I'll really be more than grateful.

maybe creating a folder with that name could help
or reinstaling file manager/changing file manager

problably hal wants to mount something but don't find it.

You have probably had an external drive connected that you had been accessing, now it is no longer available.
