Angry Edited "scalable" icons not scaling down

Hi,

There were a few ugly-looking icons in one of my current favourite icon themes. So, I decided to replace them with icons from another theme. To match the colour scheme of my present iconset, I edited the colours of the new icons on GIMP, and then replaced the old ones (forward, back and up-one-level icons to be exact). Now, the problem is that these edited icons do not scale down according to the application's need, but defaults to 128x128. Here is a screenshot of the problem. How do I fix this?

Cheers.

Welcome to LQ.

Did you tell Gimp to make a scalable layer of color
on top of the other "layer" ?
... AFAIK Gimp can't do 'scalable graphics' at all.

May be 'Incscape' can do the editing ...

Hello knudfl,

Thank you for the welcome and for your reply! I'll play around with Inkscape and see what I can do and post updates here.

Cheers.
