Edited "scalable" icons not scaling down
Hi,
There were a few ugly-looking icons in one of my current favourite icon themes. So, I decided to replace them with icons from another theme. To match the colour scheme of my present iconset, I edited the colours of the new icons on GIMP, and then replaced the old ones (forward, back and up-one-level icons to be exact). Now, the problem is that these edited icons do not scale down according to the application's need, but defaults to 128x128. Here is a screenshot of the problem. How do I fix this? Cheers. |
Welcome to LQ.
Did you tell Gimp to make a scalable layer of color on top of the other "layer" ? ... AFAIK Gimp can't do 'scalable graphics' at all. May be 'Incscape' can do the editing ... http://www.google.com/linux?hl=en&q=...pe&btnG=Search http://linux.die.net/man/1/inkscape http://www.linux.com/archive/feature/132010 http://www.google.com/linux?hl=en&q=...cs&btnG=Search ..... |
Hello knudfl,
Thank you for the welcome and for your reply! I'll play around with Inkscape and see what I can do and post updates here. Cheers. |
