DVD Programs/Setup

I've only been working with linux a few days now, and I was wondering what is a good program to play dvd's with. I heard Totem is good, but I'm not sure how to set it up. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I vote for mplayer. I think for ubuntu/debian distros, you have to add the unstable repositories though.
