confusion on the 384 etc ..

I have the confusion of the architecture that i need to download .. i really have no idea what is the ;;

can anyone explain to me what is the differences ??

* PowerPC
* PowerPC Live
* x86
* x86 Live
* x86_64
* x86_64 Live

what is Power PC is .. and so one ...

Mine i am running on Pentium 4 processor on my Compaq Laptop what should i use ???

How can i check which category my computer belong ??

Use the X86, which is a 32 bit proc. The live version is for running Ubuntu from CD without installing, the Install CD is for putting it on your computer.

OOO .. you mean the that x86 is for pentium processor one and the difference between the 32 and 64 is just the 32 bit or 64 bit .. and the life is for the bootdisc kinda thing ...

then what is the power pc is ??
