Question Cannot Delete Recent Documents From Context Menu 14.04.3

Hi,

Whenever I right click on the desktop and hover over the option "New Document," I get a list that is a mile long, that I can't seem to get rid of. These all appear to be GLabels files. Places > Recent Documents is grayed-out; and Zeitgeist is disabled and cleared.

Distro: TT 14.04.3
Env: Flashback Compiz

Any help appreciated.

very weird.

have a look at the files in the following folders:
~/.local/share/applications
~/.local/share/mime
~/Templates

and also look at
~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel
~/.recently-used

maybe you can find where these entries come from.

They were indeed in ~/Templates. In fact, when I created a separate folder for them and moved them there the entries disappered from the New Document menu. Also, there is text at the top of the open ~/Templates folder that even says this. I never noticed this before.

Please see attachment.

Thanks, Hannibal
