apach2.conf +localhost name

Hi. i have ubuntu hardy(desktop) in my machine and it works perfectly. i added the LAMP features from
System-->Administration-->Synaptic Package Manager-->Edit-->Mark Packages by Task-->LAMP server -->Apply.
if i need to access the machine locally i can write localhost of 127.0.0.1. Remotely simpply works by typing the machine's local IP. My question is how can i change the name and when in the LAN simply i could type, for example, http://binary and get the page.where do i have to change the conf file?

If you are accessing the web server from another Linux machine, you can edit the /etc/hosts file of that machine and map the ip address of the web server to the hostname e.g.
Code:
192.168.1.2   mywebserver.somedomain	mywebserver
You will need to setup a static IP address on your system and also put the line above on the /etc/hosts file on the server itself.
