Xgl, artifacts left behind...

Hi there,
So I figured I'd try out Suse 10.1 and see how things have progressed since 9.3,.. and I wanted to try out Xgl.

I got 10.1 installed no problem and I enabled Xgl uusing a guide I found online.

The desktop looks good and works well except the problem is that when I scroll throuugh certain things or menus "artifacts" get left behind on the screen.

Is there a better way to enable Xgl in 10.1 final that might fix my issue ??
I used the install guide pertaining to RC3 (the guide has since been removed from novells site)

Other than the artifacts Xgl is smooth and responsive..

My machine specs are as follows...

Athlon 64 2800
1gig ram
Leadtek 6600GT 128Mb

17inch flat panel set to 1280x1024 75hz refresh

any help would be appreciated
thanks in advance

I've had this problem too, especially with Kaffeine. Videos don't play correctly at all with Kaffeine. It shows three images at once which are all distorted. I have the 8.1 version with libxine-1 from Packman. MPlayer plays videos fine.

Probably some bugs in Xgl since it's new.
