It could be due to the fact that they may not have reached an agreement with ATI regarding redisribution of the drivers. Another issue could be the problems associated with installing ATI drivers on Linux.
I have tried those instructions and i get this error message when installing the download.

I followed the instructions and everything vent fine for the time being. Next day after switching on my comp the situation was as before, that is back to the previous state. Now I can not go into init 3 level.
