Video not supported

I am trying to get Suse 9.3 installed but the video on my Samsung 171v LCD monitor and ATI 7000 radeon graphics card is terrible. The fonts are missing some pixels and faded out. When I start to boot into Suse, my monitor states video not supported. BTW, I'm new at Linux (two weeks). Any help?

Does anyone know what monitor resolution Suse 9.3 uses to install linux.
I can use another monitor an it installs fine. I believe it is using 640 x 480?
any comments?

SuSE will try to identify the monitor before choosing resolution. If it can't identify the monitor it seems to use 800x600. One installed you can configure your monitor with YaST.
