upgrading Evolution

I'm on Suse 9.2 with Evolution 2.0.1.

What is the easiest, best, safest way to upgrade Evolution to the current version?

Thanks,

SR

You can try to install it from the gnome supplementary on the SUSE server. Simply add the directory pointing to supplementary/GNOME/update_for_9.2/ on your favourite SUSE mirror to the YaST installation sources ('Change source of installation'). Then install evolution with YaST. The version was 2.4.0-3 the last time I looked.

Thanks, abisko00. I'm can't find a good mirror that has it. I get either get the same version or can't find directory error. Can you recommend a US mirror and full pathname?

Have a look for mirrors here:
http://www.novell.com/products/linux...t_mirrors.html

E.g. a mirror in Tennessee would be: http://sunsite.utk.edu/ftp/pub/linux/suse/

Try the following command to add this as installation source (as root):

I tried the command and I get:

linux:/etc # installation_sources -a http://sunsite.utk.edu/ftp/pub/linux...pdate_for_9.2/
ERROR(InstSrc:E_no_instsrc_on_media)
Installation Sources:

I also tried it directly in YaST Online Update with User Defined Location and got the same 404 error that I got with other locations.

Sorry, my fault!!!

There was one folder (yast-source) missing in the path.
Try http://sunsite.utk.edu/ftp/pub/linux...2/yast-source/
